» Yantras   » Energy Manifestations

The word 'Yantra' in its most general sense means 'an instrument', or that by which something is accomplished.
Traditionally, a yantra is used to invoke a deity in a particular location, and also to help the devotee move towards obtaining a desire.
It is the 'diagrammatic' form of the deity it represents. It is frequently made up of geometrical shapes and sometimes also contains letters and numbers. It is generally engraved on metal or drawn on paper or other substances.

In my experience, the very presence of a yantra creates movement of energy, and influences the life of the person who has contact with it. The lines and forms of the yantra dynamically interact with the space and energy around it.

S. Sankaranarayanan says:
"It contains in itself in a controlled form the uncontrollable power of the deity"

Energy is manifested through the interaction of primordial elements and is sometimes visible, sometimes not. There is a multi- dimensional unseen matrix resulting from this interaction and reflecting it, which is dynamic and constantly changing, evolving in many different ways.

All life forms are infused with Universal Energy or Consciousness, and are linked to one another. In each person there is a Male and a Female, the dynamic and static aspects of energy. There is also a balance of male and female, static and dynamic, in all Nature and Life. As the balance is achieved, the energies mingle, and sometimes a fusion takes place, creating perfect harmony.

Rekha’s paintings give a glimpse into the myriad forms in which energy manifests: human form blending with Nature, male and female, earth and water, darkness and light.

The lotus is a recurring motif, and it symbolizes inner unfoldment'.
Water is a symbol of love, communion and spiritual grace.

»Mandalas
The word 'mandala' covers a large range of descriptions and cannot be defined in one term- 'magic circle', an aid to self discovery or to meditation', 'model for a certain visualization', 'symbols of cosmic elements', 'ritual symbol of auspiciousness or to ward off evil'...these are some of the descriptions.
A yantra is a form of mandala, a 'kolam' or 'rangoli' which is drawn on the floor ( either inside or outside the house) is also a mandala.
Learn how to create mandalas for self-discovery, personal growth and healing.
A few mandalas used in meditation are given below ( See 'Healing art')- " Lotus", "Spiral Flame", and "Expansion".

» Sri Yantra

The Sri Yantra is the most celebrated and potent Yantra mentioned in Tantra Sastra. It is perfect in form and symmetrical in proportion. Its intricate pattern represents the cosmic magnetic fields and exudes their wonder and power.
It is also known as 'Sri Chakra'. "Chakra' or 'wheel' represents constant movement, and indicates the dynamism of 'Shakti' ( kinetic energy).
This is the yantra of the Goddess Lalita Tripurasundari, and is the diagrammatic representation of Her.
The philosophy of 'Sri Vidya', which relates to the worship of Sri Chakra, is extremely vast and beyond the scope of this platform, but I would like to share with the viewer my experiences in its study. These experiences are in the form of a series of paintings, which I started in 2001. For viewing the Sri Yantra paintings, click here

» Healing Art

These paintings are energized with the Universal Life Force, which is channeled into them while painting. They fill the surroundings with their energy, and radiate this all the time. They are painted by Rekha Krishnan. The 'Antahkarana' symbol is incorporated in the paintings shown here. Other paintings use images from Nature, geometric forms or pure abstraction. They can be created specially for a purpose or for a person, with the focus on specific healing.

» Meditation symbols
Focusing on a symbol while meditating brings in the powers and energy of that symbol into us, helping in our own self awareness and growth.
The paintings of symbols or ‘yantras’ is an ancient practice, and their power and effectiveness have been recognized since thousands of years.
We offer specially designed symbols, in specific colours, to suit each person.
Besides the accepted symbols like “OM”, “Antahkarana” and the Reiki and Karuna Reiki symbols, we also have certain other powerful yantras.

OM

Om’ is a Sanskrit sound symbol representing all the planes of the Supreme Reality, both Macrocosmically and Microcosmically.
Between opening and closing the mouth we produce all the words which represent all our experiences and concepts.

Explanation of the symbolic form :

The front two curves represent this-
The top curve represents the ‘a’ sound (as in ‘come’), which we utter when we open our mouth, and also represents the gross plane.
The bottom curve represents the ‘u’ sound (as in ‘full’), which rolls through the throat over the whole tongue, covering all the intermediate sounds, and also the subtle plane.
The curve projecting from the middle resembling the trunk of an elephant represents ‘m’ (as in ‘come’), the sound produced when we close our mouth, and also represents the causal plane.
The small curve with the dot above the curved trunk, known as the ‘Chandra-bindu’, or semi-nasal sound, represents the inarticulate lingering sound when ‘Om’ is pronounced mystically as prescribed. It is just like the lingering sound after a gong is sounded. It stands for the Infinite Absolute.
In Sanskrit, when ‘a’ and ‘u’ are combined, it gives us the sound ‘o’ as in ‘go’.

LOTUS

This twelve- petalled lotus represents the Heart Chakra.
The colours of this chakra are pink (for Love) and green (for Healing).
Meditate on this symbol by gazing at it for a while, absorbing the colours through your eyes, and feeling them flowing into your heart chakra.
Fill your heart chakra with these colours and the vibrations of the twelve petals.
Feel the Love from your Heart expanding and filling you completely.
Carry this feeling with you through the day.

  ANTAHKARANA

The “Antahkarana” is an ancient Tibetan/ Chinese meditation symbol. This powerful symbol focuses and deepens meditation and enhances the actions of healing energies.
It brings in grounding energies which connect the person to the earth and creates a continuous flow of this energy through the chakras.

It helps in neutralizing negative energy that has collected in objects, simply by placing the object between two symbols.
This special symbol has its own consciousness. It works directly with your aura and chakras  and varies its healing effect depending on what you need at the time of use. Since it is directed by the Higher Self, it always has a beneficial effect and can never be misused to cause harm.
The symbols can be placed under a massage table, or under the bottom of a chair. They can be placed on the wall (for meditation) or held against the body with the print facing the area needing healing.

SPIRAL FLAME

The flame is the Divine within you.
Focus on the flame, gazing at it and feeling it within your heart.
Then feel it radiating outwards in a spiral, penetrating every cell in your body, filling each cell with the essence of the Divine.
This is good for enhancing affirmations. You can fill the flame with an affirmation and feel this affirmation radiating throughout your body.
This meditation is also beneficial in overcoming low self-esteem.

EXPANSION

This unites the Heaven and Earth energies within you, and is very energizing.
The blue at the top represents the Heaven energy, and the red below, the Earth energy.
The triangle in the center is the Self, where these energies are united.
Bring in the energies into yourself, and then feel the combined energy filling you and radiating outwards.
